The biggest and the best of iconoclasts,
And the most devoted of atheists and agnostics,
Will sneak a peek at an unattended crystal ball.
For we are all intrigued by what the future holds.
But we forget some simple facts,
That the future is what we make of it;
That the human mind supersedes the fate;
That what we see in the crystal ball
Is only the sum of all our repressed wants.
